Justin Hartley‘s Tracker has gone through some surprising cast changes, so who will appear in season 3?
Tracker, which premiered in February 2024, follows survivalist Colter (Hartley) as he travels the country to help find missing people, track down information on criminal cases and more. As the cases have grown more complex, Colter has received help from an ensemble cast of characters, including handlers Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany), hacker Bobby (Eric Graise) and attorney Reenie (Fiona Rene).
While the CBS series has continued to break viewership records, Weigert, McEnany and Graise have all left Tracker in the first two seasons. Despite the surprising exits, Hartley and his fellow executive producers have weighed in on why the onscreen shakeups weren’t necessarily a bad thing.
“I don’t want the show to be phone-a-friend every week. I think that gets old, and Justin is always challenging me on that. He’s like, ‘Do we need to do this? Do I need to call Bobby all the time? Can I do this?’” EP Elwood Reid told NewsPlop in May about the cast reconfiguration. “You don’t [always] see Reenie. He talks to Velma for two seconds. He may talk to Bobby for one phone call. The show works because you are over Justin’s shoulder.”

Reid noted that they didn’t want Tracker to “fall into complacency.”
“The only rule I really have of the show is each week Colter is going to come to a new place and there’s going to be a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all something that’s up for grabs,” he teased. “Meeting these [local] weird characters is something we’re going to try to do more of as the season goes on. Just Colter coming in and interacting with other characters. That’s fun to see Justin flex those muscles with really good guest cast members.”

Justin Hartley
There would be no Tracker without Colter, so CBS fans can rest easy knowing Hartley will be front and center in season 3.
Fiona Rene
Rene, who plays Reenie, is the only other OG main cast member returning.
Jensen Ackles
After wrapping up other projects, including Countdown and Vought Rising, Ackles has documented his return as Russell Shaw in season 3.
Sofia Pernas
Hartley’s offscreen wife has appeared in every season as Colter’s love interest, Billie, since Tracker premiered.

Melissa Roxburgh

Lee joined Tracker in season 2 as Bobby’s cousin, Randy. While Bobby won’t return in future episodes, Randy is likely coming back for season 3.
Wendy Crewson
After season 2 ended with Colter connecting his mother to his dad’s death, Mary will keep playing a role on the show.
Mel
The Halloween-themed episode in season 3 showed Reenie interview several candidates to take over for Velma before landing on a student named Mel. The newcomer was a fan of Reenie’s career and expressed interest in her work with Colter.
