<p class="p1">Following 11 years of marriage, the couple announced in January 2023 that their <span class="s1">marriage was coming to an end</span>.</p>

<p class="p1">“It is with immense sadness that Stephen &#038; I have decided to end our relationship as a couple,” Pappas said in a statement via Instagram at the time. “We have been working hard for a long time — both as a married couple &#038; as individuals &#038; have come to the conclusion to remain separate. We remain loving parents to our beautiful children.”</p>
<p class="p1">Since then, the exes have found themselves in court struggling to agree on child custody, child support and other issues. (In June 2025, Pappas <span class="s1">received a victory</span> in regards to their custody battle.)</p>

<p class="p1">Pappas was first connected to Stephen in 2009 thanks to his twin brother, <strong>Michael Stagliano</strong>.</p>
<p class="p1">Michael was a contestant on season 5 of <span class="s1"><i>The Bachelorette</i></span> with <strong>Jillian Harris</strong> in 2009. As for Pappas, she was a contestant of season 11 of <i>The Bachelor</i> with <strong>Brad Womack</strong> in 2007 before becoming <i>The Bachelorette</i> lead in 2008.</p>
<p class="p1">Pappas and Stephen met at a party for 2009’s <i>The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All</i> special. They later <span class="s1">got engaged</span> in August 2010.</p>
<p class="p1">“I was crying, holding his hands, and he showed me the ring,” Pappas recalled to <i>NewsPlop</i> at the time. “I just nodded, like, ‘Yeah!&#8217;”</p>
<h2 class="p1"><b>Stephen Stagliano’s Job Revealed</b></h2>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Court documents filed</span> by Stephen in September 2025 gave a glimpse into his occupation.</p>
<p class="p1">In his filing, Stephen said he works as an Uber driver. He said he works around 10-15 hours per week and earns around $22 per hour.</p>
<p class="p1">“My only sources of income are from unemployment and driving Uber,” he told the court. “My last paycheck was $3,750 from Story Games on March 1, 2025.” Stephen worked for the video company that ran out of funding earlier this year.</p>
<h2 class="p1"><b>Stephen Stagliano’s Education Background</b></h2>

<p class="p1">Before finding himself married to a member of Bachelor Nation, Stephen graduated from college with a degree in history education and a master’s in education.</p>
<p class="p1">In September 2025, Stephen claimed he was struggling to find work in a variety of fields.</p>
<p class="p1">“I am actively looking for a job,” he told the court. “I have applied to over 150 jobs in various industries with no success.”</p>

<p class="p1">According to Stephen’s bio on <span class="s1">Story Games’ website</span>, the businessman previously served as a teacher, an international business development manager at ASD Market Week and an account executive at Nielsen Expositions.</p>

<p class="p1">Although Stephen <span class="s1">joined X</span> in June 2010, he has not been active since May 2020 when he shared a post from Mastercard showing support for COVID-19 relief.</p>
<p class="p1">On Instagram, Stephen’s last post was from August 2025 when he shared a quote about fatherhood. (Stephen shares one son and one daughter with Pappas.)</p>
