Mgk calls out his crew for technical difficulties 2 days in a row on tour

MGK is making sure his crew puts on the best show possible for his fans on the Lost Americana tour.

The rapper, 35, publicly scolded his team at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia on Sunday, December 14, after they experienced technical difficulties at two concerts in a row.

“Let me talk to my team real quick. That’s two days in a row with weird technical difficulties going on. Let’s figure that s*** out,” MGK said on stage in between songs, as seen in a video shared by a concertgoer via TikTok on Monday, December 15. “I do my job. Let’s make sure we do our job so these people that pay their hard-earned money get the show that they f***ing paid to see. Lock in.”

According to the TikToker, lights on the stage had been malfunctioning prior to MGK’s speech.

“MGK is serious about his craft and his team should be too,” the person wrote over the video.

Many fans in the comments praised MGK for how he handled the situation, pointing out that his behavior differed from previous tours.

“Normally he’d rant, rave and get really mad, it’s happened before, the growth in this alone makes me sob. So so proud of him,” one user wrote.

“I remember he had technical difficulties on his last tour and he was so mad on stage and yelling at people subtly,” another person commented. “Which I totally get it’s frustrating. But to see him handle the difficulties differently this time around 😫love this man and his growth!”

One day before the lighting issues at the Philly concert, MGK experienced a technical difficulty at his show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The musician entered the stage at the start of the concert by rising out of a Statue of Liberty head as a guitar was supposed to descend from the rafters. However, the mechanism for lowering the guitar seemingly got stuck, causing MGK to look confused and point between the instrument and his team. A crew member eventually delivered a backup guitar to the stage as MGK began the song.

“Look at that technical issue! My guitar was supposed to be here, but f*** it,” he said after the song as his guitar remained suspended in the air, as seen in fan footage shared via TikTok.

MGK embarked on his Lost Americana tour in Orlando, Florida, in mid-November. The tour will continue throughout North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada before concluding in Washington in July 2026.

During his November 20 show in Los Angeles, MGK gave a sweet shout-out to his two daughters: Casie, 16, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, and Saga, 9 months, whom he shares with Megan Fox.

“I would like to dedicate this show to my two baby girls,” he told the crowd at the Kia Forum, as seen in social media videos. “My oldest grew up too fast.”

Days before the L.A. concert, Casie joined MGK on stage at Warped Tour in Orlando, where she helped him perform his single “Forget Me Too.”

“Alright,” he said while introducing the track. “My daughter’s gonna come out and sing this.”

While singing the line, “Permanent calligraphy, I just / Tattooed / Your name on me forever,” MGK pointed at Casie and said, “I really did!”
