Charli XCX’s upcoming movie, The Moment, has a lot of big names in the cast.
The mockumentary-style film, which is an A24 production, follows the life of a pop star navigating fame as she gears up for her first headlining tour.
Not only is Charli (real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison) starring in the project, but it is also based on her original idea. The Moment was written by Aidan Zamiri and Bertie Brandes. Charli will also serve as a producer.
In October 2025, The Moment announced its official cast, which included seasoned actors Alexander Skarsgård and Rachel Sennott. Kylie Jenner, meanwhile is set to make her film debut in The Moment. British singer Shygirl and Charli’s longtime collaborator A. G. Cook will also have roles. In addition to acting, Cook will provide original music for The Moment.
No details about the cast’s roles have been revealed as of October 2025. While The Moment does not have a premiere date at this time, it is scheduled for 2026.

Charli XCX
While most know Charli XCX because of the success of her album Brat, this is not her first time entering the acting world. She previously lent her voice to the animated films The Angry Birds Movie and UglyDolls.
Earlier this year, Charli went viral for her cameo as herself in the TV series Overcompensating. The “360” singer recently starred in the movie Erupcja, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. She also made appearances in 100 Nights of Hero and Sacrifice.
Alexander Skarsgard
Alexander Skarsgård is best known for his breakout role on the HBO series True Blood from 2008 to 2014. Since then, the actor has appeared in countless projects including The Legend of Tarzan, The Northman and more. Skarsgård won a Golden Globe and Emmy for his performance on Big Little Lies. Recently, he has starred on the sci-fi series Murderbot.
Rosanna Arquette
Rosanna Arquette made a name for herself in the ‘80s for her critically acclaimed roles in The Executioner’s Song and Desperately Seeking Susan. Her film credits also include Baby It’s You, After Hours, The Big Blue, Nowhere to Run, Pulp Fiction, Crash, The Whole Nine Yards and more. As for TV, Arquette had roles in Ray Donovan, The L-Word and most recently Presumed Innocent.
Isaac Cole Powell
Before branching out into film, Isaac Cole Powell got his start on Broadway. He starred in the 2017 revival of Once on This Island and the 2019 revival of West Side Story. The actor most recently appeared on stage as Jay Gatsby in Gatsby: An American Myth. Powell made his film debut in the movie adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen.
Kate Berlant
Kate Berlant is best known for her comedic work as she’s appeared in the series Search Party and voiced multiple characters in BoJack Horseman. Her comedy got a lot of attention following the release of her and John Early’s special Would It Kill You to Laugh? The actress has also had small roles in dramatic films including Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Don’t Worry Darling. Most recently, Berlant appeared on an episode of The Bear.
Rish Shah
In 2022, Rish Shah had his breakout role on the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. He’s also appeared in Sweet East, Do Revenge, Obsession and Overcompensating.
Jamie Demetriou
Jamie Demetriou previously created and starred in Stath Lets Flats, which earned him multiple BAFTAs. He also had a guest role on Fleabag and appeared as a Mattel worker in Barbie.
Trew Mullen
Trew Mullen made her big screen debut in 2024’s Blink Twice alongside Channing Tatum.
Kylie Jenner
Most know Kylie Jenner as the youngest member of the Kardashian family, and she’s appeared on multiple reality shows alongside her famous brood. In addition to being a reality TV star, Jenner has built a beauty empire with her makeup line Kylie Cosmetics. While Jenner made a brief cameo as herself in Oceans 8, The Moment will be her first official acting role.
Rachel Sennott
Rachel Sennott got her start as an open mic comic before her breakout in 2020’s Shiva Baby. She later appeared in Bodies Bodies Bodies and I Used to Be Funny. In 2023, Sennott cowrote and starred in Bottoms. She most recently had a role in the star-studded biopic Saturday Night, where she portrayed Rosie Shuster.
Arielle Dombasle
Arielle Dombasle got her start in the ‘80s and rose to fame following her roles in Pauline at the Beach and The Blue Villa. She also starred in Lace and the 1985 sequel. The French actress also has an iconic guest role on Miami Vice. In addition to acting, Dombasle is a singer and has released 11 albums over the years.
Hailey Benton Gates
Hailey Benton Gates is a former model and fashion editor. She made her film debut in 2015’s Ricki and the Flash. The actress has since appeared in Uncut Gems and Challengers.
Mel Ottenberg
Mel Ottenberg previously worked as Rihanna’s stylist before becoming the editor-in-chief of Interview magazine. The Moment will be Ottenberg’s film debut.

Richard Perez’s previous acting credits include 2023’s Booger and 2024’s Bareback Acres.
Michael Workeye
Michael Workéyè is best known for his role on the Amazon Prime series My Lady Jane. In addition to The Moment, he will appear on the upcoming Apple TV series Margot’s Got Money Troubles.
Shygirl
Shygirl (real name Blane Muise) is a British singer and DJ. She dropped her debut album Nymph in 2022. She was previously featured on Charli’s remix of “365.”
A. G. Cook
A.G. Cook founded the record label PC Music in 2013. In addition to collaborating with Charli, he’s worked with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, the 1975 and more.
