Love Is Blind star Kacie McIntosh has thoughts about her broken engagement to Patrick Suzuki — and his pod love triangle.
“When I think of all the tears I cried, stress I felt and guilt I carried all this time for feeling the way I felt and for not knowing how to be honest with him,” Kacie, 34, captioned a Wednesday, October 8, Instagram video of herself watching the newest batch of episodes. “I can’t say it feels great to find out that I was just a consolation prize all along.”
Kacie accepted Patrick’s proposal during Love Is Blind season 9, only to call off their engagement several hours later over a lack of physical attraction.
After Kacie and Patrick, 31, went their separate ways, they ceased communication. At the same time, Patrick reunited with his other connection Anna Yuan during the cast’s post-pod Western party back in Denver. During the gathering, Patrick told Anna, 28, that she was his first choice all along.

“Kacie was the No. 2, but she was a distant No. 2,” Patrick said.
Kacie, for her part, reposted the Netflix clip alongside a soundtrack of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild.”
Patrick, however, has since clarified how he chose between the two women in the pods.
“Probably a few days after Anna left, it’s just Kacie and I. We don’t have anyone else here,” Patrick said on the Tuesday, October 7, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast.
“[We] were slightly trauma-bonding, having really good conversations. Basically, I’m just grilling her. I’m asking her [questions] to see if she really wants to get married.”

According to Patrick, the hair and makeup artist told him that she was serious about finding a husband and thought he seemed like a “genuine guy” with whom she could picture a future. In the end, Patrick proposed to Kacie sight unseen in the pods, and she accepted.
Patrick and Kacie’s engagement bliss fizzled within mere hours when Kacie broke up with the construction manager.
“He deserves somebody better than me. He’s not a bad-looking guy in any sense, but he deserves somebody that is so obsessed with him,” Kacie said in a confessional. “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is gonna grow that much, and it sucks. I just know it won’t, and I think it would be so unfair to him to have us go to Mexico and then me have to tell him there that I just don’t think I could get there with him, like, period.’”

Patrick later claimed that he tried to pursue a relationship with Kacie off camera when filming wrapped, but that she refused and even declined to return her show-provided engagement ring. Kacie, however, has denied Patrick’s accusations.
“He did not reach out to me. I reached out to him,” Kacie alleged in her own interview on the “Viall Files” podcast. “We got back on, like, a Friday. He wanted to have a phone call or meet up immediately. I was like, ‘Listen, I’m so emotional right now, I just got home, it’s not going to be the outcome you want.’”
Kacie revealed that she allegedly asked Patrick to give her a few days to collect her thoughts before they spoke again, claiming that she has “receipts” to back her version of events.
Amid the drama, Kacie has also claimed that she was left off the guest list for the season’s official reunion party.
“I wasn’t invited,” Kacie told Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday. “I wasn’t invited to the group event. At the time I was very confused. I actually reached out because I heard he got invited and I was wondering why I wasn’t.”
Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen, meanwhile, denied Kacie’s reunion claims and told the outlet that “generally everyone is invited” to cast events.
“I’m not the person who specifically hands out invitations to that, but generally everyone is invited,” Coelen told EW. “I can’t accurately tell you about how the information was or wasn’t relayed to her.”
