Jamie Lynn Spears’ 17-year-old daughter, Maddie, is just like Us — and loves singing along to Britney Spears’ music.
On Monday, December 15, Maddie shared a TikTok video of herself lip-synching to her aunt’s 2000 song “Lucky.”
“She’s so lucky / She’s a star,” she mimed. “But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking / If there’s nothing missing in my life / Then why do these tears come at night?”
Jamie Lynn, 34 — who is the sister of Britney, 44 — welcomed Maddie with ex Casey Aldridge. The Zoey 101 star also shares daughter Ivey, 7, with husband Jamie Watson.

Jamie Lynn’s relationship with Britney has been through several ups and downs over the years. However, a source told NewsPlop exclusively in September that the sisters were “doing better” and even “planning on getting together soon.”
“The girls decided to keep their relationship problems out of the public eye,” the source shared. “They FaceTime every few weeks, and Jamie Lynn is planning on visiting Britney next month in L.A.” (It is unclear whether the actress ever made the trip from their home state of Louisiana.)
A second source added that Britney and Jamie Lynn “really love one another, but they can be hardheaded siblings.”
Tension arose in the Spears family after Britney petitioned to end her conservatorship by her father, Jamie Spears, in 2021. A judge terminated the guardianship that November.

“I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years, and it’s enough. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money,” Britney said in court in June 2021. “I would honestly like to sue my family, to be totally honest with you. I also would like to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of it being a hush-hush secret to benefit all of them.”
Following Britney’s statement, Jamie Lynn spoke out in support of her sister.
“I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her to do many years ago,” she wrote via Instagram Story at the time. “If ending the conservatorship or flying to Mars or whatever else she wants to do — I support that, 100 percent. Because I support my sister. I love my sister. Always have, always will. As long as she’s happy. Let’s keep praying. That’s all.”
Although Britney accused Jamie Lynn of not doing enough to help fight her 13-year conservatorship in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, the Sweet Magnolias star said the “Toxic” singer was still a “good big sister.”
“I love her,” Jamie Lynn said on an episode of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here in November 2023. “Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly. … Families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”

Jamie Lynn claimed she is “one person” in Britney’s life who has “never taken anything from her.”
“Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing,” Jamie Lynn explained. “We’ve had very complicated circumstances, and we both had to deal with them in different ways. And sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have.”
