Carrie Prejean Boller, a conservative influencer who once supported President Donald Trump, has said that she no longer recognizes the president. From her perspective, his MAGA movement is “dead” at this point, and he’s the one who “destroyed” it. The media personality recently appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and explained why her stance has changed. And like some of the other people who have broken from Trump recently, it has something to do with his war against Iran.
Prejean Boller started by saying that she’s supported Trump for many years now.
According to her, she supported him even before he ran for president. “I’ve been a loyal supporter of the president for almost 20 years,” she said. “This goes back to when I was 21 years old and I was Miss California at the Miss USA pageant.” Because of this, she views him as a friend, and yet, she still can’t support him at this point.
“I’ve known him – I consider him a dear friend – and I will tell you right now, I do not recognize our president,” she said. “I think that we are an occupied nation. I think that a foreign country has occupied our government. And we are seeing now that this president of the United States of America is being influenced by a foreign government.” Though she did not name the foreign government at first, she was talking about Israel.
She confidently asserted that ‘MAGA is dead.’
Prejean Boller suggested that Trump’s Make America Great Again movement is not what it once was, or what Trump said it would be. “And MAGA, let me tell you right now, MAGA is dead,” she said. “It is deader than dead. And Americans are furious. We do not recognize President Donald J Trump anymore.”
While Morgan acknowledged that there are certainly people who share Prejean Boller’s views, he pointed out that polls indicate that many of Trump’s supporters still support him and even support his attack on Iran. As he said this, Prejean Boller shook her head. “How do you explain that?” Morgan questioned.
“I do not believe that one bit,” Prejean Boller responded. “I talk to MAGA people all day long, every day, and the everyday, average American is absolutely against this war and they know the only reason why we are even in Iran right now is because of Israel.”
She said the influence Israel has on the United States right now is actually “embarrassing.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s justification of the attack on Iran sparked backlash because critics thought he meant that Israel pressured the U.S. He originally said, “We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action, we knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties.”
Meanwhile, Trump offered a different explanation, telling a reporter, “No, I might have forced their [Israel’s] hand. We were having negotiations with these lunatics, and it was my opinion that they were going to first. They were going to attack if we didn’t do it. They were going to attack first — I felt strongly about that.”
But Prejean Boller suggested that Trump has lied to and betrayed his supporters, which is why she believes “MAGA is dead.” She said, “We will not vote for one more politician who lies to us and says, ‘Oh, we’re going to drain the swamp and we’re gonna not get involved in foreign wars.’ Trump has betrayed our country, and he has betrayed MAGA. And people are livid.”
