WNBA star Angel Reese’s whirlwind week continued on Tuesday, April 7, when she debuted her first Victoria’s Secret modeling campaign one day after being traded to the Atlanta Dream.
Reese, 23, is leading the brand’s new “Season of Strapless” swim and beauty campaign. She has been modeling since her college days at LSU, and in October 2025 made her runway debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
As Reese noted, her basketball career will eventually end. Her modeling — along with her podcast and countless endorsement deals — ensures she is not relying solely on sport.
“My mom and my grandma always told me basketball is gonna stop one day, so continuing to build my platform was always important,” she told Elle in an interview published Tuesday. “Since I was younger, I’ve always been into fashion…Building my own brand, being myself, being super versatile on and off the court, within my clothes or even within my style of play, was really important.”

Reese added that her approach to basketball, where she became an instant star in the WNBA, has translated to fashion.
“It’s the confidence, being able to look good and feel good, and then you go out there and kill it,” she explained. “I think practice makes perfect. You practice on the basketball court to get ready for games. I was practicing walking in heels for two months with a walking coach. When you walk in the tunnel, you’re already ready for the game because you’ve practiced so much. And when I practiced for so long in my heels, and then in the outfits that I wore, I was ready.”
Reese’s first Victoria’s Secret campaign comes the day after the WNBA world was turned on its head as the Chicago Sky dealt her to Atlanta in exchange for a pair of first-round draft picks.
With the trade, Reese goes from a Sky team at the bottom of the league standings and the subject of plenty of fan and media criticism over how it’s run to a Dream franchise that has realistic 2026 championship aspirations.

“I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to join the Atlanta Dream organization,” Reese said, according to ESPN. “I’m focused on continuing to grow my game, competing at the highest level, connecting with the fans, and giving everything I’ve got to the Dream.”
She will now team with guards Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard to try and bring Atlanta its first WNBA title in franchise history.
“Angel is a dynamic talent and a perfect fit for what we are building in Atlanta,” Dream general manager Dan Padover said in a statement. “She has already proven herself as one of the most impactful players in the league, and her competitiveness, production and drive to win align seamlessly with our vision. This is an exciting moment for our organization and our fans.”
