Allison holker marks 3rd anniversary of husband stephen ‘twitch’ boss’ death

Allison Holker is memorializing her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, on the third anniversary of his death.

“Today is the 3-year Stephen tWitch Boss anniversary day 12/13/2022. We honor you and cherish all of our beautiful memories with you,” Holker, 37, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, December 13, alongside throwback family portraits and dance videos. “We loved laughing, creating and dancing. We will love you forever ❤️❤️.”

Holker further revealed that she recently “saw some beautiful posts” on social media in honor of Boss, which touched her heart.

“Thank you for your endless love and support,” she concluded her Saturday upload. “It means the world to me and my kids.”

Boss died by suicide in December 2022 at the age of 40. In addition to Holker, the late dancer is survived by his mom, siblings and kids Weslie, 17, Maddox, 9, and Zaia, 6. (Weslie is Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, who Boss helped raise.)

Stephen’s mother, Connie Boss Alexander, also shared an emotional tribute for her son’s death anniversary.

“Three years feels like an eternity, yet somehow only a drop in time. I miss you so much. I still catch myself looking for your text or your call,” Connie wrote via Instagram on Friday, December 12. “When I come across something hilarious, my first instinct is to send it to you — and then I remember. My darling son, as we acknowledge the date of your departure from our physical presence, we continue to honor you and the beautiful life you lived.”

She added, “I remember the precious moments—big and small. Times that once felt ordinary have become treasured memories I carry with me every day. My heart will always beat waiting for the echo of yours.”

Connie also told Stephen in her letter that his children “are growing so fast.”

“Every day they look and move more like you,” Connie concluded her tribute. “God gifted us these little duplicates of you, and I know you are so proud — beaming with love from where you are.”

Allison Holker Pens Note About Strength to Her Kids After Dad tWitch’s Death

Connie, Holker and Weslie, in particular, are making sure that Maddox and Zaia won’t forget Stephen’s memory.

“When my siblings grow up, I don’t want them to be, like, ‘[You’re] not biologically related to him.’ I’m going to be, like, ‘We’re his kids and we didn’t get to experience him,’” Weslie said on an April episode of her and her mom’s “Between Us” podcast. “My biggest fear is that they grow up and they end up resenting, not only him, but us for experiencing it. I don’t want that to happen at all. I’d rather put my feelings aside for them.”

Weslie got especially emotional thinking about what her siblings lost at a young age.

“I know Maddox just wishes that there was someone that he could look up to that’s just not always talking about makeup,” Weslie added. “We try to learn about basketball and try to be in the know with him, but it’s hard. I just wish he had that.”

Holker, for her part, stressed that Maddox and Zaia are lucky to have such a supportive older sister in Weslie.

“You’re so aware of these feelings, but I don’t want you to ever harp on that and live from that,” Holker told her firstborn. “They’re not going to resent you. They’re gonna wish that they had these kinds of moments with him, but they’re going to love that you’re teaching them and you’re loving them in that same way [and] presenting that same energy that he would have had onto them.”
