It’s the spookiest time of the year — Heidi Klum’s 24th annual Halloween party.
The German supermodel held her festive bash at New York City’s Hard Rock Hotel on Friday, October, 31, where she came dressed as a scary version of Medusa. (The fictional monster, according to Greek mythology, can turn men to stone with just one withering glance.)
“Everything is hand-painted,” Klum told E! News of
her costume. “About 15 people have been working on this, and I think they did a fantastic job. I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time because I’ve seen over the years obviously many, many Medusas, and I thought, ‘You know, one day I’m going to try my own.’ I really wanted to have snakes that were moving, a super-ugly, super-scary face, really ugly teeth, and to be like a really long rattlesnake.”Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, expertly complemented his wife’s outfit and went as a stone sculpture of a man.
“This year wasn’t that difficult, but sometimes it is,” he quipped to E! News of getting ready. “Last year we did E.T., for example, it was difficult. Like, ‘OK, are we going to be both E.T. or one female version?’ I always have to come up with something that matches.”
