Gesaffelstein (real name Mike Lévy) became a Grammy winner after working alongside Lady Gaga.
The French DJ and music producer took home the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical in February 2026 after remixing Gaga’s “Abracadabra.” Gesaffelstein cowrote and coproduced Gaga’s 2025 Mayhem album, which “Abracadabra” was originally featured on, along with being featured on the track “Killah.”
Gesaffelstein also appeared alongside Gaga when she headlined Coachella in April 2025. He was her only guest during the two-hour set.
“We literally asked [Gaga], ‘But are there other guests?’” Alexandra Pilz-Hayot, part of Gesaffelstein’s management team, told Billboard in June 2025. She told them: “No, no, you’re the only one.”
Pilz-Hayot recalled the entire team feeling some type of way. “We were like, ‘Oh my God,’” he said.
Gaga has spoken about her collaboration with Gesaffelstein at length since Mayhem was released.
“It was important to work with people that were going to collaborate well with me,” Gaga told Fader of the record. “He’s amazing. He’s super interesting. He has a very interesting way of working.”

During a separate interview with Rolling Stone, Gaga gushed over Gesaffelstein’s work on “Killah” specifically.
“That was really Gesaffelstein’s baby,” she told the publication in April 2025. “I’m so in awe of his work on that record. And we had a good time making it together. The bridge just pops off and it’s going to be total mayhem, a good time.”
